Accounting Course Online

Many people say they learn more online, and their retention is better too.

Consider that good students in the traditional setting may fair poorly in an online environment, while struggling students may excel with online courses. This can be explained in part due to differences in learning styles. Visual, self-directed learners do well at online learning, but others succeed because online instructional design is often sophisticated and planned to reach a wide variety of learners.

Though if there were a course that was so “real Life Like” and interactive you could not help the fact you were learning. Accounting course online methods have become so advanced that even a person with limited english skills can still advance as if english was his/her first language

ONE MORE U2 tax dance

radio show mash up bono’s all cut up

It isn’t just Bono’s U2 who are talking through their hat about tax avoidance

Nick Cohen
Sunday October 22, 2006
The Observer

All last week, Bono was in court in Dublin arguing about a stetson. It was his trademark hat, as essential a part of the brand that is Bono as his compassion for starving Africans. His former stylist, Lola Cashman, says he gave the hat to her as thanks for her hard work. He looked like Nana Mouskouri before she remodelled him and it is outrageous, she says, for Bono to claim now that she stole it so she could sell it and make money which was rightfully his.
Article continues

The learned judges of Ireland have a duty to apply their fine minds to the case with due seriousness. What is surprising is that the rest of the world continues to take Bono seriously. I would have thought that after the revelation that U2 moved their music publishing company to the Netherlands to cut their tax bill in half, he wouldn’t have dared stepped out of his mansion for fear of being laughed to scorn.
Here was a man who incited audiences to condemn Western politicians for not sending enough of their taxpayers’ money to the wretched of the earth, avoiding tax himself. The Edge, U2’s guitarist, sounded as edgy as a plump accountant in the 19th hole when he explained the move offshore by saying: ‘Our business is a very complex business. Of course we’re trying to be tax-efficient. Who doesn’t want to be tax-efficient?’

The practical consequences of being ‘tax-efficient’ are many. If you say you care about Africa, why are you paying fees to international money movers who encourage Africa’s ‘tax-efficient’ kleptomaniacs to hide their loot in tax havens? You are also forcing fellow citizens, who didn’t make U2’s estimated $110m in 2005, to pick up the bill, not only for foreign aid, but for education, health, law and order and defence.

Graysmith UNMASKED 3 - Anatomy of a Myth

June 17th, 2009 accounts books   13 Comments

CHAPTER THREE: Anatomy of a Myth

Author Michael Butterfield examines the many myths surrounding the life and death of Zodiac victim Darlene Ferrin and dissects the theory that she had known her killer. Includes clips from Geraldo Rivera’s tabloid television show NOW IT CAN BE TOLD and an excerpt from The SALLY JESSY RAPHAEL SHOW with Robert Graysmith and Ferrin’s sister, Pam.

The best-selling book ZODIAC introduced the world to the story of the most elusive serial killer in American history - “The Zodiac.” Written by former cartoonist-turned-crime-writer Robert Graysmith, the book offered a compelling account of the case and offered the author’s theories concerning the methods, motives and identity of the killer.

Graysmith’s suspect - a convicted child molester once investigated by police yet never charged - became the subject of scrutiny by the media and amateur sleuths. After the suspect died under a cloud of suspicion, Graysmith claimed he had solved the case in his sequel ZODIAC UNMASKED. Known as “The Man Who Solved The Zodiac Murders,” Graysmith was featured in many television documentaries and interviews, and actor Jake Gyllenhall portrayed the cartoonist in the film adaptation of ZODIAC directed by David Fincher (FIGHT CLUB and SE7EN).

Michael Butterfield, a freelance writer and recognized expert on the unsolved Zodiac crimes examined Graysmith’s claims, theories and methods and discovered that the author’s books were more fiction than fact. Graysmith’s case against his prime suspect proved equally dubious and new DNA tests failed to link the man to the crimes.

While James Frey, author of the fictionalized personal memoir A MILLION LITTLE PIECES, faced scrutiny and criticism from his readers and the media, and even endured a televised interrogation by talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, Robert Graysmith not only continues to enjoy the celebrity spotlight but his revisionist account of the Zodiac crimes is widely accepted as fact.

The true story of the still-unsolved Zodiac case remains untold. This film debunks the many myths surrounding the crimes and provides a disturbing portrait of Robert Graysmith - UNMASKED.
